With this feature, Appraisal results may be used to automatically calculate salary increases, or bonus and incentive payments. Users are able to select the range of appraisals to be used, the method (average, minimum, maximum, etc.) and the relationship between the appraisal score and compensation to be calculated.
The calculated results may be reviewed on screen or exported to Excel. Adjustments may be done as required until the required results are obtained.
When the payments are to be made, the results are imported by the Payroll Periodic Transactions function to be processed by the payroll. No manual effort is required.
This feature facilitates the rerunning of the payroll with different conditions within the same pay period. For example, a company may wish to run the regular payroll and then make a special bonus run separate from the regular payroll run. Users may indicate the special conditions that are to be applied in the special run. E.g. regular salary data should not be used, certain tax deductions that should not be made, etc.
Electronic Bank Transfer (Direct Deposit)
This function involves the transmission of payroll data directly to the customer database of the company's bankers. It therefore requires that prior arrangements be worked out with the bank. The bank supplies relevant information and software that facilitates the process.
The payroll process generates a file in the format required by the bank with each employee's name, account type, account number, net pay, etc. The authorized payroll officer runs the Electronic Bank Transfer program to transmit the information via a modem into the bank's computer as required.
This is a useful feature that allows the extraction of payroll history details for any year or pay period and for any group of employees. This information may be selectively retrieved and used for flexible analysis of labour costs. Extracted data may also be exported to an Excel spreadsheet. This is a useful facility for budgeting, negotiating and for various other planning and analytical purposes.
The task of calculating retroactive pay is sometimes a daunting and time-consuming one. This system maintains perennial pay details and includes the facility to extract earnings details of any type for any period and year for employees. This provides an easy and efficient method of working out retroactive pay. You could say goodbye to manually calculating retroactive payments.
A generic model to handle interfaces to the general ledger modules of accounting packages is available. General Ledger transactions are generated by the payroll module for import into your third-party financial application and avoid the need to manually create and enter these transactions. Payroll expenses, tax liabilities and other payroll journal entries are imported by your General Ledger and posted, again eliminating redundant data entry and improving the efficiency of the accounting staff.
This useful features provides the facility to make changes to salaries, allowances, benefits or recurring deductions for all employees or a specific group of employees. For example, if employees salaries are to be adjusted by a percentage or a fixed amount, it can all be done from a single screen.
Global Changes allows you to run "what if" scenarios with salary and wage adjustments. By calculating the adjusted compensation for a group of employees, you'll be able to quickly compare the change to current compensation, as well as to other groups in the company. The result is faster, better-informed compensation decisions.
