The Attendance Type Code Table enables users to set up and maintain all the relevant types of attendance that apply to the organization. Hence there is no restriction on the various absence from work categories that may be tracked.
The Attendance Plan Code Table is used to define the rules applicable to each attendance plan in which leave is accrued. By using the Plan Effective Date (the date that the employee was assigned to the attendance plan) along with the plan attributes, current leave balances may be calculated at any time. The system may also show leave on a Calendar, Anniversary of Employment or as at any future date as required.
The Leave Balance information is based on calculating Current Entitlement, Leave that is Carried from previous period(s), Leave Taken to date during the current year and any Leave Adjustments that may have been made.
For audit and reconciliation purposes, information may be captured on each leave transaction, including:
Who approved the leave and the date approved
Who entered the leave on the system and the date entered
Who committed the leave on the system and the date committed
Comments may also be entered if required
Information may also be imported into this module from the Time Clock module or from third-party Time Clocks. The imported data is interpreted based on the specific business rules that apply to the organization, including union agreements where applicable.
