Our HR system tracks the standard information that HR professionals need to do their jobs. But we understand that organizations use that information differently, and they also need to track additional information that is unique to the way that they do business. Our system is user friendly, easy to report from and easily customized. The HRM2001 system is developed using non-proprietary, industry standard technology. By using software switches, NGS enables end users to easily customize their system, without compromising their ability to take advantage of future software releases and updates. HRM2001 also provides new and innovative modules and features such as: Dynamics Selection/Scoping, Report Writer, Document Manager, Time Clock, Global Changes, Manpower and Succession Planning, Internet Deployment and Client-Server Technology. A fully integrated payroll module, AccuPay2001, is also available.
From inception, HRM2001 has been designed with flexibility to enable the system to be adapted quickly to reflect changing governmental requirements. For example, payroll tax changes are easily made by the end user without requiring program updates or external help. We provide all the statutory reports required and will be at the forefront, pioneering electronic transfer of statutory returns from your computer directly to the tax authorities’ systems via the Internet.
Because of single design considerations, an integrated HR/Payroll system with its built-in linkages between modules, provides a tighter and more suitable fit for the user. If the systems are separate, interfaces have to be developed and maintained, usually at a higher cost.
NGS also understands that many organisations see payroll as a subsystem of HR for better control purposes. We understand both the HR and payroll needs of the user and have developed a system to meet these needs with an integrated system that is more efficient than an interface can provide. The hassle of duplicate data entry is eliminated. Our focus is on human resources and payroll to provide a “Best-Of Breed” HR and Payroll system. Our flexible approach also enables us to provide you with what you need. If you need only HR or Payroll, we provide you with one and an interface to the other, if required. Our AccuPay2001 payroll module meets the needs of paying employees accurately and on time and provides a host of new features that are not available in other payroll systems.
A properly architectured client/server system allows the workload of your Human Resource Information System to be divided between the server and workstations in an intelligent way. Such a system enables the company to have multiple servers located within the same building, at different plants, in different departments, or in various locations throughout the world. This configuration provides fundamental advantages over a traditional Local Area network (LAN) environment, in which servers must be physically located relatively close to each other. Required modules will reside on each server, keeping it close to the people who are using it. Improved performance and better control of data for departmental computing applications will result.
Client/server maximizes computing resources by processing the data at whichever location is the most efficient. Users are given seamless access to data stored within geographically dispersed servers. Despite the location of these servers, users are able to view the data as though everything is stored on one super server. HRM2001 works efficiently in either client/server or LAN environments.
A company’s need for client/server technology is dependent upon many variables. Some of the reasons to utilize client/server technology include: the use of advanced technology, employee populations that number in the thousands, and multiple locations spread throughout the nation or the world. These factors don’t necessarily mean that client/server technology is your only option, but may push you in that direction. For example, if your corporation operates globally with multiple sites, works with multiple currencies, and has a large employee population, your most logical option would be to utilize the latest client/server technology. This technology, often times, is the best solution for smaller companies, as well. A small corporation which is utilizing advanced technology may choose client/server simply to maximize their existing infrastructure.
Yes. NGS offers installation, training, implementation, consulting and project management services. Proper implementation of a system requires that you may address many tasks and decisions before beginning operation. While some HRM2001 clients independently complete the implementation process with little assistance, some organizations do not have adequate internal staffing, expertise, or time to get their system running in the time frame desired. In these cases, NGS can provide full implementation services. HRM2001’s consultants will work with your staff to help perform as much of the implementation process as you desire. Services may include system implementation planning, system definition and customization, scanning of photographs, report design, and more.
Yes, you may still upgrade to our latest version after we make customizations. NGS’ technical consultants with their intimate knowledge of the system will make changes quickly and efficiently. We use a system of software switches to manage customization so that the core application remains standard and is not affected by modifications made for individual users. Objects that may be added to your customized system include new tables, queries, forms, reports, macros or modules.
How long will it take to implement your system?
The length of time it takes to implement a HRM system varies from one company to the next. The difference in implementation time is usually dependent upon the type of system you are converting from. Other factors include your immediate reporting requirements, general system setup time, and the degree to which your company’s team leadership is dedicated for the implementation of an HRM system. A first step will be determine what information you currently track. Once this information is known, NGS can determine where the information should be stored in the new system, and whether additional tables and fields will need to be added. Setup time is spent establishing the various code tables within the system. Setting up your job code table, grade code structure, benefit plans and contribution amount formulas are part of the HRM2001 setup process. NGS is available for all types of implementation assistance, including data conversions, project management, training, consulting, customization, and system setup.
Yes. To help you achieve the highest possible return on your investment, NGS offers comprehensive training programs to meet your needs at every level of human resource, training and system competency. NGS believes that training is “investment insurance” – a virtual guarantee that your HRM2001 will perform as promised.
Yes. HRM2001 now has the facilities that allow employees to view their personal information through Microsoft’s Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator, using Internet protocols and programs. They may be allowed access to information such as profiles, compensation, absence history, benefit information, performance ratings, training and certification information, and current employee inventory.
In addition, your employees will be able to review information such as company policies and procedures, labour agreements, industrial relations precedents and cases, training - curriculum, schedule and registration, and explanation of benefits. Job vacancies and other opportunities may also be provided based on company policy. In short, access will be made available to any information that the company wishes to publish for its employees, thus facilitating better communication. Employees may also be allowed to enter leave applications online and changes to static data such as address changes, etc. HRM2001 will reflect the dynamic demands of the enterprise including those that seek to make the system more ‘inclusive’ by allowing for greater usage and interaction between the HR application and the employees in a secure environment.
Yes. Apart from the Internet functionality indicated above, the Time Clock module will be further enhanced to include optional methods of logging attendance and time. The options will include logging on via the system’s Time Clock module, using electronic ‘swipe’ cards, or fingerprint matching (biometric) technology.
The Office Manager module is also under development. This will monitor and manage all types of company assets and supplies from acquisition through to disposal. Items may include: computers, office equipment, motor vehicles, office supplies, etc. In general, HRM2001 will always reflect the dynamic requirements of HR practitioners and payroll accounting at all times, using the latest technology and innovation.
